    Ive had it before when I have got to the end of a build, all pained and nicely presented, when a hairline crack appears down the seam. Whenever possible I try and use some form of reinforcement. Probably over engineered Jim but it avoids disappointment particularly on a larger model.

    We have all been there. Just on the varnish issue. Never apply decals to a matt surface. They don't stick so well and you can create a frosted edge on the perimeter of the decal. Always use a gloss varnish surface to apply your decals. ATB

    Well done. From the pictures you posted it looks very good. Regarding the smudging of the paint issue. Did you varnish the model before applying the decals? Micro Sol is a mild solvent and will damage paint that hasn't been varnished. Always best to use a gloss varnish and give it time to cure...

    So after filling and sanding back the fuzz seam joins a primer coat was added. Fairly pleased with my pre primer prep work as there was very little to correct on the model once the primer was on. I had some scribing work to do on the panel lines on the fuzz behind the cockpit back to the tail...
