    Liquid Chrome by Molotow

Here's Molotow Chrome brush painted on a model I did a while back.

    Liquid Chrome by Molotow

Chrome is very resistant to being painted over. I may reprime and start again as I think it'll be very difficult to neatly outline the lenses.

1/12th scale Kuton Figurines 'The Rocketeer'

Just started on this lovely sculpt. And her handgun, a Mauser 'Broomhandle' with a 20 round Schnellfeuer magazine. I think. These paints used so far (plus B+W).

    Liquid Chrome by Molotow

It's really bizarre - I use the exact same method. Upload images as attachments, then insert 'Large' versions. Works every time - apart from this time!

    Liquid Chrome by Molotow

I know achieving good Chrome finish is a vexed issue, so I thought I'd show what Molotow's Liquid Chrome looks like when airbrushed. This is after a single pass. I'm probably going to paint over all of it except the goggle lenses, so I wasn't worried about imperfections elsewhere (tbh...

1/10th scale RN Estudio, New Year and Oracle Witch

It must be said that the volumes of paint being used are really minuscule. I block painted in the main colours in acrylics first: As a result, the oils cure really fast - a couple of days sitting on a radiator and they're done. (In fact, one frustration with oils is that, unlike acrylics, I...

1/10th scale RN Estudio, New Year and Oracle Witch

Just finished these two. The left hand bust is in acrylics, the right hand one in oils. I wasnt really invested in the subject matter, so I treated them as practice pieces - you can probably see the remnants of 3D printed supports on the right hand bust. These were left mainly...

    Making chilli sauce

So, I thought I should update this thread. This year's marmalade making is underway, and the pickled onions have nicely matured: Not to be eaten together, natch! And I must update on the fruity fermented chilli sauce - it went pear-shaped and I had to bin it! Not sure why, but as Tim Marlow...

1/10th scale Black Crow Miniatures, The Swordmaster

I've loved painting this comic-book barbarian, in oils.

    How many at once?

I'm just a regular guy. For the last few years I've been painting figures, and I've been painting them one at a time, using acrylics. But I've just started experimenting with oil paints and all of a sudden I've got four projects on the go at once - a first for me. Although experienced hands...

75mm Aradia Miniatures, The Green Knight

I'm glad this is now done, or should that be 'done'? There's a ton of shortcomings, some of which - but only some - I could correct. But I'm not going to, because I've learned a lot during the build, mainly to do with figure painting with oils, and I can't correct some of the most glaring...

Great sculpts - in all sizes!

Seem to have forgotten to add the actual pictures of Savonarola!

75mm Aradia Miniatures, The Green Knight

This is nearing completion. I've struggled a lot with it, but learnt absolutely tons, so I'm well-happy over all. I'm going to put some snow on that base and call it done, I think.
