    1/87 scale is tough Not many quality makers ever & fewer now. My hope is that printing will get better & more popular. Neil's stuff is perfect, but most other stuff is primitive w/print lines evident or the hated resin casting w/all it's drawbacks.

    There were 4 different manufacturers for the 251/1 & many changes with combat experience, so interior fittings were 'as needed'. Standard weapon loads also changed. Restored vehicle pictures are not very accurate generally, so actual in service photos are best for reference. Consider; crew kit...

    Best material for base board on a diorama?

    I always seal unfinished wood products with clear varnish and paint to be finished surfaces before adding foam, plaster, or glue for dio. additions. Some bases are close to 30 years old w/o the least bit of warp. The larger ones have hardwood subframes.
