GB idea
Just checked my spreadsheet, I have 29 Tamiya kits, but a lot of those are accessories and 1:35 figure sets, actual proper kits number 6, so I have a good selection to choose from, Lol.....- pjgtech

Very puzzled and annoyed
Oh wow, thats looks very weird! If its something you do on a regular basis and it does not usually affect the plastic then obviously your technique is fine. So as mentioned above, it must be some sort of different material composition, hence why it has reacted. Hope you get a positive outcome... -
Why don't all models come with a masking set?
This is a pet peeve of mine, you decide to make a model, it has some glazing in it, but, there is no masks for the glazing, so you have either do it yourself, fiddly, time consuming, and if you are as hamfisted as me, you end with a not very good mask, etc or you have to buy a custom of... -

Yeah, its not really showing up pink in the photos, but mine is a very pale (PRU) pink, not like the sprues! But its your model, so you can do any colour you like.....(y);)- pjgtech

Update, I think I am now calling this one done. Quite pleased with how it turned out. Had slight fit issue with the rear payload area attaching to the main chassis, but apart from that it all went together fine and dandy. Think I went a bit too far with the sandy texture (again, I must learn...- pjgtech

Another Varnish and AB question?
Thinned it 1:1 and gave the SAS Pink Panther two thin coats of gloss varnish, looks a lot better than my first attempt with varnish through the AB, so thank peeps. -

Ok, so the actual build is now complete, all painting done, pink came out ok, nice and pale as I wanted, and I've given it an almost dry brush coat of Tamiya XF Desert Sand to try to simulate a dusty/sandy covering. I did not want to completely lose the pink shade.... Tomorrow it will get a...- pjgtech

Another Varnish and AB question?
Do you guys thin your varnish or just use it straight from the jar, etc? I tend to use Tamiya XF gloss clear and Humbrol Matt clear mostly, but alos have some Lucky Varnish too, (not yet used). Thanx -

Clearing varnish through AB?
As an addendum to this, (see above) I've only used varnish once through my AB, and am about to use it again. First time I used my 0.3 needle, should I use a larger (eg: 0.5) needle instead for varnish? I did find that I had to do several coats of varnish first tyime round, presumably cos they... -

Did a bit more this morning.... Rear wheels on, front end made up, front seats in, various levers, geartsicks, handbrake, etc.... Close up, paint still needs tidying up in places.... Made a schoolboy error yesterday, put all the underside stuff in, but forgot the exhaust! So could not get...- pjgtech

Just got another Airbrush, H&S Ultra 2024
Seen a couple of YT vid son the Ultra, it was one of the AB's I looked at before I bought my Gaahleri Seeker. As you say seem to be aimed at noobs (like me).... If I did not already have two, I'd prolly snap your arm off, Lol.... Good luck with the sale.... -

Yep, sounds good to me, I do like a GB, only reason I did not participate in the Mig one was because, erm, I dont have a Mig! Tamiya GB sounds good, I have lots in the stash.... already thinking of poss scenarios.... 8-)- pjgtech

Little update..... After leaving the colour from last night, today it looks like a very, very pale pink, but as it would have faded etc, I think I'm gonna leave it as is. I will be going for a very well worn, well used, weather beaten look, lots of scratches, dents, dirt, sand, oil and grease...- pjgtech

Bah, schoolboy error! Just painted up the main parts in pink, but was using my new AB, and did not realise it had the 0.5 nozzle in it, so splodged paint all over.... Took me a few minutes to work out why so much paint was coming out! Will have another go tomorrow with the correct nozzle (0.3).- pjgtech
