I more or less switched to SMS paint too, but there was one particular shade of dark yellow that SMS don't do.

Seems like a sudden closure then? All of their social media has closed down, but website obviously still active and taking orders. Not been able to find any information online to confirm this though, which is unusual these days.

Morning all, I know not usually the done thing to mention other shops on here, but I use the above mentioned shop for MRP paints, which aren't stocked by SMS. To the point. Has anyone heard anything about them closing down? I made an order a few weeks ago and have heard nothing since. Emails...

    Kowloon Book Nook

Having seen a few of the book nooks by various members here, I was inspired to get my own. Having worked in Hong Kong quite a bit over the years, this one jumped out at me. Very expensive, but does come with a lot of Electronics. Added a few details of my own, and to be honest, wish I'd added...

    JL’s 1/16 Trumpeter Jagdpanther

Not much progress lately, work has been too busy, but some tinkering with some small details. This one I'm pleased with, the blanket. Plagiarised from a gent making a 1/16 jeep, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out.

Boatmans 1/200 scale USS HORNET CV8 BUILD AN LIGHTS for the Doolittle raid on japan

Excellent work as always Chris! I believe the planes will be easier if you try and thread one half of the fuselage over the port side wing, and then the other over the starboard wing for the halves to then meet in the middle? They look like they should fit that way?

    JL’s 1/16 Trumpeter Jagdpanther

Thanks Jim. They are great fun. A very different weathering approach needed. I'm going to keep the upper hull separate on this one, maybe raised and supported by some clear plastic rod?

Another bit of a monster for your critique. I’ve had a bit of a pause mid way throught, as I found a very good 3D printer setup for the grand total of £75, so though that was worth a play with! I’ve been trying with a few bits that I wasn’t happy with (smoke bombs the first 3D replacement, as...

Part two photos. Trying to make the CITB look convincing. Weathering WIP. Washes done, chipping next on the list.

    What's on the Bench 2025

Building the Maultier Ambulance has been a good mojo boost lately. Quite hard to be 'realistic' without being too morbid. Aim to make a little diorama for this one. I was planning snow, but none of the figures I have are in winter gear. C&C welcome.

    What's on the Bench 2025

Mojo has returned somewhat lately. 1/32 Tamiya Phantom. I built this some time ago but needed to rev up to a monumental painting session. Inspired by boatmans excellent build I got on with it. Working through the hundreds of decals.
