    Sepecat Jaguar Engine Starting Sequence

    I was clearing out my shed this weekend and found an old training manual of mine from my RAF days. My old Q-AJG-PM course handout for Jaguar Propulsion Mechanics was lurking in an old case, and in rather a good condition. A little extract if anyone is interested.

    Italeri GR4 1:32

    Started this a few weeks ago and get to play with it each Saturday. Posting a few stage photos as to current progress, and this weekend managed to complete the first major step by getting the two halves of the cockpit together after cramming some ballast in the nose (fishing weight).

    Engine kits

    As I am a Sooty by trade, I've been looking for model kits of gas turbines, namely the Adour, RB199, Derwent, Pegasus, Avon, and RB199. You have probably realised I've had no joy in my quest... :( Is anyone aware of a manufacturer that produces these in a decent scale (or at all would be great)?

    Morning all, brief intro: I'm Ed, ex-RAF engine man (91-00) worked at (8Sqn EROS) Engine repair and overhaul, (3Sqn) Jag major servicing, and onto (TPF EUTF) RB199 engine test house at Marham. Loved model building in my younger days but not touched a kit for around 30 years. Restarting again...
