    Eduard 1/48 A6M3 Zero type 32

With the lack of self sealing fuel tanks, I guess the Hollywood exploding plane would definitely be true for the Zero's being shot down then.

    Scary Moments

It was more of a threat than an offer of help 🤣 We’ve been married for 19 years so I guess we’ve kept each other a while now. My wife fights an endless battle against myself and the dog - I can make a mess in a empty room and the dog is a Westie who can be filthy 5 minutes after getting...

    Scary Moments

My wife just offered to vacuum the man cave, and dust down the shelves and tops! Horror.

    Aoshima Silvia s15

Your speed at building is very impressive, takes me ages to finish one little kit :( Looking top-notch as ever, so a nice American Muscle Car next then? 🤣 I’ll go wash my mouth out with soap now ….

    Eduard 1/48 A6M3 Zero type 32

Like the look of this. I have the ‘Tora Tora Tora’ limited edition in my stash which has 2 full kits so I’ve got the comfy chair, popcorn and eyes glued to this one.

Roden 1/35 1920 Rolls Royce Armoured Car

Nice. Does it have a little bulldog too? That would be

I have to change my brand loyalty ...

Oh dear, I’m afraid you have a terminal case. No hope, just try to be more swan-like - serene on top, paddling like your arse is on fire underneath! I’m seriously thinking of looking at some ‘absolutely no way I will realistically do that’ kits and donating to Models for Heroes.

    1/48 ESCI Henschel hs 129

I imagine that having that big gun shooting was probably jarring to say the least, so not surprised it wasn’t used much - but it does look kind of scary up there. Good luck with it, 1977 and looking at the cockpit decals makes me glad things have improved.

    Latest Acquisitions (2026)

Nice haul. I’ve seen the Eduard limited editions really do end up being limited and getting them afterwards takes a lot of searching - that and plenty of £££’s

    Neils Eduard 1/72 Spitfire F Mk.IX

I had a weird effect with a decal onto the door - my own fault, as I was too hasty and added the decal before the gloss had really set and then used DecalFix - luckily the kit has 3 doors so no big deal, but I’ll bear that in mind for future, haste is not a good friend with models

    Neils Eduard 1/72 Spitfire F Mk.IX

    glossed ready for decals.

    Geoff’s 1/48 Eduard Spitfire Story - Spitfire Mk.I build.

Yeah, I think all they do is add more even tinier parts than 1/72 :( Good work so far, looking forward to seeing the transfers wrestled into submission

    What a sh*t Week

Hoping it all works out OK.

    Steven’s 1/48 Spitfire Mk.IIa

The whole ‘White Cliffs’ base is inspired! I’d say this is artistry.

At what point is your "stash" getting out of hand?

Hmm, I may have to review my stash cupboard and donate some to Model for Heroes. That looks a worthwhile charity and I definitely have some that I can’t ever see myself wanting to do. My wife would say my stash should be a maximum of one in progress and next one up!

    Westland Lynx - Matchbox - 1:72 scale

Very nice, considering the age of the kit too. Tell me that they are brand new paints, otherise I have no idea how you keep them so clean!

Masking fluid, how to remove from brush?

I use the Humbrol - now I find that use of a cocktail stick and one crappy brush that I only use for masking is the way to go. I just consider the brush a lost cause.

Nerdy Scale Model Spreadsheet, what to include?

I started doing this recently too using Numbers - mainly because I no longer want to have a Microsoft subscription for a few excel sheets. So I created (so far) two main sheets, one for Models and one for paints, and because Numbers is great at pivot tables, I use them too. The Paint one is...
