Decals going on. Predictably they are as crap as the rest of the kit. They keep breaking up.But I’ve managed to piece them together and used stars n bars from my spares box.- Dave W

I had a problem with the silver paint. Probably because it was acrylic and it was very cold in my garage.So I cleaned it all off with IPA. Now it’s been resprayed with Alclad gloss black. And I’ve painted the anti glare areas with Tamiya tyre black. Will mask them off and start on the silver.- Dave W

Latest Acquisitions (2019)
I got these in town recently. This is my second Airfix 1/48 Mustang. It’s a great kit. When I was a kid I made the Matchbox 1/72 kit in the ‘Dooley Bird’ scheme. -

Zoukie Mura 1/48 F4S Phantom
Just finished this one. Painted with Humbrol enamels,Vallejo acrylics and finished with Alclad clear coats.I used a Florymodels grey wash to highlight the panel lines .And I used Quickboost resin seats as the kit ones although good,don’t have harnesses.All the parts fitted really well. Scale Model World 2018
Well it's the annual Scale Model World show at Telford tomorrow and Sunday.I'm really surprised no ones put a post up about it yet. So I thought I would start one. Anyone going?. I'm going tomorrow. Tamiya 1/48 Brewster Buffalo
This an old but still good Tamiya kit . I painted it with Xtracolour enamels and Tamiya ‘tyre black’.Weathered with oil paints. Unfortunately the white spirit I used to blend them in with has reacted with the Alclad gloss varnish. Anyone know of a gloss clear coat that doesn’t react with white...- Dave W

Airfix 1/48 Seafury
This new kit from Airfix is a good one. It went together easily and needed hardly any filler. I’ve read a few reviews of the kit that complain about one of the fuselage halves being short shot. Airfix 1/48 P51D
This new kit from Airfix goes together very well. The engine upper cowl is a separate piece. So no join to deal with. Which means no loss of detail.Cockpit is very good.Although you can’t see much of it in this scale. And the decals are superb.I like this kit so much I will probably buy another...- Dave W

Revell 1/48 F105G Thunderchief
This is the old Monogram kit reboxed by Revell. A nice kit considering its age. No problems putting it together. REVEL 1/48 SEPECAT JAGUAR
This is the Revell rebox of the old Airfix kit. I've finished it as a Desert Storm RAF aircraft using an old decal sheet in my stash.
