I picked up this mining truck for...wait for it...£5...yes a fiver! These are still retailing for £65 the cheapest I could find.

It is RC but had some issues, so a complete strip down and repaint, electrics sorted-tipper...tips, up and down, forward, reverse, left and right and lights all work now.

I used liquid latex for the chipping and then some rust pigment in the tub. The dirt is just airbrushed on also got some 1/32 decals that just add to it.

Really enjoyed doing this.

Nice one Si. How do you produce such good models in such a short time?

This one was just over a week in doing. As it is 1/24 and large then it is fairly easy to do with no fiddly bits.

Just spent a day stripping down and sorting the electrics.

Just masked and used plastic primer and then car paints, with latex used for the chipping areas. Hardest part was getting it all back together :D
