How did they (allied/axis) fix the trees on to the tanks, half tracks and cars.

I have read this a few times before it clicked as to what the question was lol. My head is a very untidy shed at the moment.

Am I right in assuming that you mean the branches and stuff seen on tanks to camouflage them from aircraft? Makes them look like a mobile shrubbery? If so, the fastened them on with anything. Tied them on with rope, stuffed branches under brackets etc to jamb them in place. This sort of camo was very had hock and as such, so were the methods. Exactly the same as putting twigs and grasses into nets stretched over soldiers helmets but on a grander and less formal size

Yeah thats what im after. I was thinking of having role or wire hooked along the side of the tank/half track and tie the branches on that way. Thoughts?
