discussion 502nd German heavy Panzer Battalion.

Hi guys, I have a new RC Tiger I on the way and this is going to be painted like my other in winter camo, but this is going to be from the 502nd heavy Panzer Battalion, they were one of the first IIRC to get the Tiger and operated on the Eastern Front claiming some good kills.


I have the proper pennants, vinyl paint mask instead of decals/stickers, PE grilles, chains etc. It will be all AB etc then AB the numbers etc.


Now, here comes the help bit. I am struggling to find any tank numbers, can you help me? Also in winter camo would all the insignia be in red or just the numbers, the battalion Mammoth etc in black?

Sounds like another good build on the way Si.


If I was you, I'd look to model the kit on one of the famous commanders of Schweren Panzerabteilung 502. For instance, Otto Carius who's well documented & you'll probably find a wealth of relevant information.
