Guys,

I have a small problem with the clocks on the dash of the SE5a, i have PM'd Greyhead to see if he can help because i know from his build that he overcome this problem. Thought i might ask here also as i havent seen him around for a while.

The problem is this. The clocks on the picture from the link that Ian sent me are taken at an angle and need to be manipulated to get them to look like a face on shot or as near as dam it. Unfortunatly im not an expert on PhotoShop and alike and am struggleing with this. Any help would be gratefuly appreciated.

I have found that if the picture is printed off at 60% of A4 it works out at 1/4 scale.

Thanks

Andy

no expert myself but i think if you select the clock face and then click edit and go down to transform, you can choose wether to scale ,skew, warp, alter perspective and such like, not sure which option would suit your picture.

Forgive me if you've done this and there's nothing suitable listed (or it's not the correct model etc) ...... but if you put "SE5a cockpit view" into google there's several head on views of clocks in a dash board type setup in the images section.

They all look about the same to me (limited knowledge of flying things to take into consideration though :) )

Or am i missing a valid point and look like a prat :) (wouldn't be nowt new :) )

Hi all, i use Gimp Andy, it's good software mate it'll do the job you need it to. Nice and simple to use too well, if i can use it anyone can and there's a load of tutorials on youtube.

Have fun, John

Ps, if you want to post the pic i'm sure we can sort it if you dont download Gimp :winkingshades:.

If you don't have photoshop you can always download a trial version just google "adobe photoshop cs5 trial free"

Thanks guys, you have all come up trumps again as usual. Your info was good Colin and thanks. Having printed these views out and messed about cutting to size and offering them to the dash... i have found that due to the scale you can see clearly that they are photo copies due to the glare off the glass in the picture. The effect looks absolutly pants.

I had an idea, as im am fluent with CAD i have decided to create each one seperatly so that the look like the real thing. This may take some time but the result should be spot on.

Thanks again for all your help guys.

Cheers

Andy
