Hi everyone,
I have just finished a 1:72 scale diorama depicting a weathered Storch, taking off from a temporary runway, converted from a country road in a nondescript Eastern European setting. The time period of the scene is set a few months after the start of Operation Barbarossa (June 22nd, 1941), during the Spring / Summer of 1942. The light utility war bird has undergone a paint job for service during winter on the Eastern Front and the bleak conditions and the harsh Russian winter has taken its toll on the airframe.
