Mostly I use enamel paints, but somewhere along the way I've acquired a few samples of acrylic

Is it possible to combine them on the same model?

Obviously I don't mean mixing the liquid paints, but applying one on top of another

I'm thinking of something like a camouflage scheme; applying an overall acrylic coat first, then doing the pattern on top in enamels; or vice versa.

Just leave plenty of time for the paint to cure, especially if applying enamels over acrylics.

Yep I totally agree with the colleagues here.

My Stug III for my Market Garden is painted like that.

Base color revell enamel let it dry for 2 days, and then the camo with Vallejo acrylics

Cheers Richi

A general rule is Lacquer, Enamel, Acrylic in that order. You may not get much of an issue with enamel over acrylic so long as it dries thoroughly before painting on top of it, but definitely lacquer over with either of the other two will cause issues, if not immediately then in the future.
