After my abject failure to insert this in the correct GB I'm trying again :o! This is my first 3-D venture so I'm somewhat nervous and will doubtless ask for advice on adhesives , fillers etc - I'm glad the GB lasts until March! Manufacturer is unknown, lots of finely detailed parts, can't find any build threads to date, no instructions or colour call-outs but that's not a problem. Anyway, here's the photo's (I may have posted them earlier so I apologise in advance) On with the motley ...

Hi Steve
I do love a German m/c plus you got a rider too, will definitely be looking in on this one .

A great looking kit.

I think it is a figure called the Motorcycle Scout by Brendon Krause, who produced the 3D sculpt using Z-Brush - here is a link to the page on the ArtStation website: https://www.artstation.com/marketplace/p/Ygo9j/motorcycle-scout-3d-print-ready-stl-files

I am not surprised to see these for sale on Ebay and the like, he is selling the files for £28.01, and with that you can produce up to 2,000 copies! (if my reading of the licence is correct).

no surprise, that I have one on order.

he has produced some other 3D prints - sci fi mainly- along with some very good sci-fi 2D artwork which is very reminiscent or works by Tim White and Chris Foss.

Thanks Peter, that is indeed the model! I hope it fits together as well as it would appear to, and that I can do it justice. Look forward to your result! Thanks again 😃

Oh my good lord.Be a huge thing when made up

Yes, but it depends on the scale. i have seen versions advertised at various scale from 50mm (strange size!) to 75mm and 120mm. The joy of 3D printing, you can have one in whatever size you want.

I think you will finish yours before i even start. After finishing my ECW diorama I plan to start my 1/16th Universal Carrier, after that perhaps this one.

I look forward to following your build - to get some pointers !!

3d design really needs a graphic pad rather than a mouse - and then its not easy. i have an Ipad and bought nomad sculpt for it (my nephews who are into 2D and 3D work on ipads recommended it) and even with an Apple pencil it is not easy. My conundrum is: do I spend a lot of time learning how to use NomadSculpt or do I spend that time actually modelling?it is almost a hobby in itself. If I were younger perhaps. i do tend to take it on holiday and have a play.
