Hi guys!!

News of my workbench. Today I would like to show you a Fw 190 F-8 in 1/72 scale. The kit comes from Airfix. Colours are from Vallejo, Gunze, Revell, Alclad and ModelMaster.

During the last years of the WW II the number of enemy tanks had risen that one looked on German side feverishly for defensive possibilities. The successful Ju 87 Tankbuster had become outdated meanwhile and so it was tried to use the Fw 190 for the tank-hunt. This measure was successful and in many units the Fw 190 removed the Ju 87 bit by bit. My model shows the "red 2" of the I./SG 2 "Immelmann", Hungary, in 1945.

Cheers

Stefan:)

Oh! That's a beauty

The paintwork is excellent, specially the winter camo scheme!

I built it sometime ago...and I still thinking that this model is great and lovely to build!

I did the same scheme like you, and I'm sure that I will build it again ;)

Stefan...can I ask, please, how do you paint the spinner? Mine was an absolutely disaster :(

That's great Stefan. I love the camo and the exhaust staining. Where are the decals from?

That is awesome, that butcher bird with winter camo and back history is perfect.

I really like the painting and weathering ( nice detail on the crew and kettencrad ( personnel is small in this scale but you got it perfect

Again awesome

Hi guys!!!

Thanks for your comments. I'm glad that you like my "Tankbuster-190"!!! :)

Polux.....the spinner is not painted.....it's a decal. AZmodel has special spinner-decals in 1:72 scale. ;)

Doug....the decals are originally from the kit. They are printed cleanly and can be processed readily.

Greetings

Stefan:)

Lovely work Stefan, that winterised camouflage looks fantastic. It is a nice kit, one I have waiting in the stash. Did you freehand airbrush the white patterns?

Thanks, Joe!!! Yes, the white patterns I did freehand. It was Vallejo Model Air white, brushed with a 0,25mm nozzle and little pressure.

In the original, this stripe pattern was also sprayed or applied with a brush, broom or rag.

just superb,Stefan, what a great job you have done, lov the camo and weathering,

and that all done by hand my hats off to your sir, great build, :D
