Good morning everybody, i have just purchased an airfix lcm3 for my sons d-day diorama and would like to convert it to an american version (mounted mg's, lower helm and a few other bits) the thing is i think the hull is not deep enough on this model and the deck is cambered and doesnt look like the lcm3s in photos. So i would like to add about 5-6mm to the hull height with plasticard and make a flat deck out of chequer plate style plasticard. what i would like to know is what would be the best material for fairing the hull back to shape?. I was thinking of either milliput or maybe car filler if it doesnt melt the plastic,or does anyone have any better suggestions which are not apparant to me at the moment (just started making models agai after 28 years so i am on a learning curve again).

Many thanks , daniel.
