Now under construction is the base for my BTM-3.
A board of 12mm MDF will form the base and onto that will be cemented foam blocks followed by a balsa sheet outer cover.

The basic shape cut out with the vehicle track marks applied..

Here the 'raised ground' has been applied from thin strips of foam cut out on my foam cutter..

And here is the base with the Balsa outer covering cemented and in place and held in position with parcel string tied around the outside and then drill bits used to twist and tighten the string and then balsa off cuts are used for the final tightening. This idea was given to me by a picture frame maker who used it to make sure the 'square' frames did not move when glueing them...
