thanks for the tips on bending the wood i found that if you heat the water to about 400 degres you can get the wood to bend to a 90degre bend

Well that's pretty clever. Water boils at 100C or 312 F if my grammar school physics teacher was right. So to get it to reach 400 is very impressive.
