Hi all back from our little trip, my missus contract phone is up for renewal she has a Sony expirior miro which she hates what do your missus'es have she goes on Facebook loads and likes to take pics what do you guys recommend ask your missis. Although she has an ipad air she doesn't want an iphone too pricy ( I say have anything you want but you know women, ooh no that's too much to pay )

My wife has a Iphone...something or other, 4 or 5. She is on Virgin, we get a discount for having TV and Phone + Mobile.

As for myself I haven't got a phone, no mates you see...

You can't beat an iPhone , both me and swmbo didn't want to get one but having tried some of the other brands and being disappointed we bit the bullet , she has the new ones I have her cast offs lol

Have to agree, my wife loves the Iphone, she finds it easy to use, good camera, games, online, etc

Sorry alan have to disagree with you there I have a HTC 1 and I think it's the best phone out there,well apart from the fixed memory that is, and it habit of restarting itself, oh and the short bat life but other than that. It's the dogs dangly bits, always had HTC and love them.

Samsung Galaxy S4, myself and swmbo binned the iPhone contract, we both think that the s4 is superior, our opinion

I've got one of those Si but could not get the hang of it, where does the sim card go and I am having trouble fitting the batteries

I'd go with the Experia Z2, though if you had a bad experience with an Experia range before you may not like another one. I use an iPhone but don't rate it at all, I only choose it as I have tried Andriod and Windows before so thought I would give it a go, too small a screen and constant updates are a pain. Samsung are half decent but loads of each version get sent back every week due to " software" issues ( I'll PM you how I know ). HTC's are nice the 90% aluminium body makes them durable, but the camera lets them down. Stay away from Nokias unless your a Windows fan, they are simple and easy to use but not to everyone's taste.

My advice would be to go play with a few in your local shop, but don't just ask them what they think is best as they often get paid extra in commission for sales of certain handsets.

It's all down to personal preference as I said we tried all the top ones out at the time and didn't like the android operating system for us iOS is better but it's not for everyone

I use an Android based Samsung phone. However IOS is easier to use than Android. I don't like being tied into Apple products exclusively so Android works for me. Samsung phones are the bees knees. Nokia make a nice series of Windows based phones (they are owned by Microsoft). Don't count the new Windows phones out, my missus has one and it is brilliant. However the apps for the Windows based system are few and lacking. It is after all a newer system I suppose.

Yes but not so easy to fit in the pocket and not nice especially after someone has used it as a toilet

Here's what you want to get your missus Ken...A Mk.II set of Si's cans!

I've had this same pay as you go phone for donkey's years. I ring people, they ring me. Full stop. ( very rarely mind, cos's only 3 people know my number!) hand on heart I still have to look it up when I can remember how to......

I put a fiver in when the lady in the phone tells me it's time, perhaps every two years or so and at the last check I've still got £4.77p with 4 mths. to go.......
