discussion buckled wheels on matchstick models

Hi

Newbie here,I have just finished building my first matchstick lorry,but the wheels have buckled,any clues how to stop that,should i have varnished it or somethink.

Hi George and welcome to the site. It does sound like the matchsticks needed strengthening, either glue wise and then varnishing before assembly, the weight of the model has caused them to buckle. One other thing is to glue some thin card behind the wheel structure, you then use a craft knife to cut out the bits you can see through, this should add enough strength.
