Scratch built historic model first published in the Aeromodeller magazine for 1941,the Lancer did not fly until 1944.

Improved wing attachment with spar boxes,plan is vague as to attachment.

When new designs came out in wartime builders were keen to model them,as material from short in terms of the designs plans were drawn up by eye from photographs,nothing wrong with this as a means to an end,I have made no attempts to correct any errors but prefer to build such models as per the originals as historical artifacts from days gone by,this model is no exception and apart from some structural alterations is as per original right down to that huge propeller !

The Republic XP-47J Version would make an interesting conversion one day.
