where can i get catalogues from? as in tamiya/airfix/revell?

my local model shop does not do them and i have not had one in about 13 years!!!

i cant remember...are they free or do you have to pay for them?

I'm sure Squiffy can help out here but, yes, you have to pay for them.

I used to get Tamiya and Aifix religeously many years ago but I haven't bothered for a while now.

The last time I looked they were about a fiver each, which is why I gave up buying them!

A signs of the times with colour printing costs so expensive, the older colour catalogues given as customer support are now a thing of the past.

As Richard says they cost money these days, that money is best spent on the kits themselves.

Even retailers have a problem getting trade catalogues, they are not given out freely.

I think mail order is the best option nowadays with these things but the original costs plus postage makes them a bit on the expensive side.

I am lucky as Halifax still boasts a model shop!

lol just noticed that...isnt John from Halifax as well?

If you can find one nowadays in Halifax that isn't full of youngsters getting silly on stupidly expensive alcoholic fruit drinks.

Bring back the good old days of Mild and Bitter (or Dark and Heavy north of the border where they still appreciate beer)

Cats are not cheap these days, however i have a few spare i can sling your way if you want?

I know for a fact i have pocketbond and hasegawas to spare!

(if anyone else wants one just shout)

yea whatever you dont want chuck em this way!!! il pay for postage!

thanks alot squiffy!

its just annoying having to look around loads of different websites to see different ranges. if i know what they make it makes it so much easier looking on the internet!!!

Catalogues have never been cheap, I can remember the Tamiya one at about 1.50 which must be in the region of 20 years ago.

It was way more expensive than any of the others.

Barry - ironically printing is MUCH cheaper than it was 5 years ago due to the fact that digital setups are beginging to replace the old litho ones. Still depends on wheather its a short run or long run setup!

I actually got given two large boxs of tamiya cats at the last show by the hobby company so if anybody wants one let me know (although you will have to pay postage as they are not light)

Richard- pocketbond and tamiya cats were included with your paints :-)
