Hello everyone, newbie here.

I have seen past threads and a little information about Classic Airframes releasing a Gannet AEW. This was a few years back and the flow of info has gone dead. Can anyone shed any light on what is going on or when this might show its self on the shelves.

On a lighter note I have just started building the Trumpy MK2 Swordfish so anyone got any tips feel free to say hello as still a beginner here.

Hi Nick and welcome. Don't know what happened to the Gannet,I thought it came out a couple of years ago. It's an odd looking thing! I do know there was an ongoing Swordfish build and I can't remember who was doing it (sorry!),I helped him with a couple of references. Hopefully he'll check in soon.

Cheers

Steve

thanks guys, i have seen the swordfish post and looks really helpful. i also have easy access to the historic flight hanger which helps no end. sadly that is the gannet ASW and i want the rounder AEW one. i think its the best of the FAA.

gannet

I remember building the keil kraft gannet back in the 70s. hardest 1 I ever built.suprisingly i still got the plan somewhere will have to dig it out sometime. huge aircraftb it was but looked so cumbersome but beautiful if you know what i mean.good luck on the build. by the way never did get it to fly properly, it was a bugger to trim.

thanks guys to all your replies, i might have to settle for the 1/72 a2zee resin kit which is fairly new until classic airframes release the bigger one. quite possibly my fave aircraft out there.
