discussion Colour Q!

Any idea what colour the seats in the back of the hanomag SDKFZ 251/1 were , I have not bean given any pain indicators for the interior !

Also were they leather seats or painted steal I need to know for weathering.

Hi Alan, the front seats are a green fabric colour the rear seats are slatted wooden bases (bits you sit on) with the same green fabric coloured backrest. The front seats are metal with seat pads and backrest attached to the frame. I have also seen the rear seats without the wood seat deck these are covered cushions. Colours seem to vary from a forest green to black or grey.

Thanks for the advice guys but now I have a problem , the seats have no backrest and are just rounded pieces of plastic

Only suggestion is this: How are you scratch building skills, do you think you could make backrests? If not then don't bother and I would paint the seats a green or black with subtle highlights.

Cheers Si , I could of made them had I had the materials so I guess I'll just have to paint the seats and forget the back rests.
