Guys this could be an excellent forum if more people just posted that little more often to any questions, etc, etc,

I had not posted much on this forum before hand because i completly lost the site address and only recently found it again :chair:

Come on ! ;)

Ok ok!!!! Posting something:

This is the coolest thing I discovered for my workshop and thought of it while sitting on the chair drinking beer while my wife worked:lame:: Those little disposable cutting mats. They are some kind of indestructible plastic that can be placed on your kitchen counter tops and used instead of your traditional wooden or plastic cutting board. I use them as "flying part guards" and have them taked or nailed around the sides of my bench. They catch flying parts and tools even and don't drop them. They act like a gutter and can be cut to shape then bent to fill empty space. I'll post pics if you wish BUT we are in for another rain storm tonight that is flooding the chicagoland-USA area. Our basement has gotten hit twice with basement seepage. I have some time now to pull up the rugs and get out the mops!!!! Thanks Ian-We used to have a few more regulars in the past year but have no idea what happened to them. I'm starting the new ICM laGG3 so I can post a few progress pics but again it all depends on the weather. Take care and thanks for the info and LSA links.

I once was cutting a piece of PE and it went 'ping' well that was 7 months ago, i've just found the part it was on top of the bloody curtain, just goes to show how many times the wife takes the curtains down to wash them

Just wrap your room or home in plastic wrap. It prevents stains and keeps your home fresh.

I think what the deal is that most guys who are an here giving awnsers are not as computer savy/ on all the time as the people who are looking for the small advice. and there seems to be only a couple guys which every one seems to depend on for an awnser. i guess pepole feel as if they just want awnsers, not in here to give them. i try to give them when i feel i have one which will help. not just posting a " ya me too". and then there is the modling instinct slow and stedy which dosnt help when you are tearing your hair out looking for advice.

Hi Ian,

I joined this forum about a few weeks ago but I've never felt as if I had anything to contribute as I haven't made any kits for over 20 years. I am just starting out again.

However... now feeling very guilty after your comments, I have delved into my furthest memory recesses and remembered a couple of tips which I shall now try to find the relevent topic area to post them.

Best Wishes

My old man once said to me. "Remember these three words son and you'll never go short"

STICK EM UP!!!

Oh dear Lord: I predict this thread going down the toilet:bravo: This is going to be a fun "totally off topic" topic.

Ok, another cool product to endorse: Novus plastic polish. I'm just "polishing " up the clear resin radar dome on the bf109 night fighter and it rocks! This stuff is amazing and I'm sticking with it to smooth the finish before decals go on as opposed to future. Plus you can polish after the flatcoat for a very real smooth look on aircraft.

I must admit i have not posted on here for a while but with personal problems going on i cannot always come on here. I do find it hard to even do models when you have people ill around you that need your help.

How is your friend doing, Charlotte? I remember the petition for the disease of your friend but was not sure as the result. Take care and its always great hearing from you! Jeff
