Well I'm all set ready for the show tomorrow, anyone else going???


There are a lot of extra aircraft there this year as Waddington isn't having a display

Nice photos Adrian. About time someone cleaned that rescue Sea King. That Jaguar, is it privately operated? I thought they were all retired now.

The Jaguar is Cosfords, they use them to train the flight crew? Those guys that direct aircraft on a runway..... escapes me what they are called.


I lost count of the Jaguars there, I would say easily 30+.


According to my ex RAF friend they use them also to teach basic jets to recruits.

They featured in the recent spy series The Game. They are used at Cosford for ground instruction by trainee aircraft tradesmen, I did my trade training at Halton and later at Cosford and worked trained on the Jaguars in Airframe Training Squadron.

They get a whole lot dirtier than that Joe! They are supposed to be washed every seven days I think from memory and should have a fresh water wash down if they have been operating within a few kilometres of the sea - so everyday then! I don't miss doing that job or winch washes.
