discussion cutting decals

hi everyone i just applied some decals to my latest build thing is they go over to separate pieces of the build and so need cutting do i clear coat it first thinking it will make them stiffer and easier to cut or cut them before i give it the final coat of gloss hope that all makes sense

Cut them after they have dried but before the final coat of varnish.If anything lifts around the cut the varnish will sort it out.
