discussion D-day tribute build but which one?

Hello Chaps,

I’ve nearly finished my Hurricane group build entry so am thinking of my next build.
With the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings a month away I’d like to build something to honour that.

I’ve got a few candidates in the stash but can’t decide which to go for. I’ve put up photos of the candidates so please chip in with your suggestion :thumb2:

I’ll put up a full build thread so you can follow along if you want.
I do have a few others with invasion markings but would probably take longer to build than the few weeks left.

I did think about proposing a D-Day GB but wasn’t sure if it would be a problem with the other ones ongoing :thinking:

However nothing ventured etc I’ll pop a post in the group build proposals and see how it goes :smiling4:

I’m still going to build one of these beforehand so keep the suggestions coming.

Geoff Thanks I appreciate it there will be more than you think to join in. Hope it makes it. If not I may join you anyway in building a Aircraft in honor of D-Day.

I was hoping you were going for a DC3. (Guess you were leaving that for Steve aka @Airborne01 - him being a crazy jumper and all that!!!)
But I guess from the two choices - Ooooooooo - I guess it'll have to be the 'Mossie'!!!!

Typhoon would be my choice, it just evokes D-day more so than the others

I didn’t include the Dakota Doug as I think it may need a bit longer to bash it into shape.

Good choice. Me as well I have several candidates so I will wait till the GB gets closer. Thanks Geoff for getting this thing together
