discussion death race 2000 mustang

Hi every one, I am not sure if this is in the right place but its seems sci fi so here goes. I bought the base kit a Revell 1/12th scale mustang car just for bits as a model show in Bolton, the kit has been sitting calling me for a long time and then I just went mental and did the death race build, I think the car is a little later than the one used in the film but with a few mods it did not turn out to bad and the good thing was I did not have to worry about how good my painting skills were as the car is peppered with bullet holes and full of rust and grim just right for a painter like me. The model is quite heavy as there are a quite a few layers of thick plastic card on it to make up the armour plating, I used sprue for the roll cage and other bits and bats for detail. I hope you guys like it.

Looks great Barrie, I like the battle damaged look!

Are the guns from a kit? They are cracking.

Thanks guys for the good comments, I did enjoy doing the bullet holes, and NO the guns are scratch built not from a kit, this was good to do as I did not have to worry about that paint finish and how rough it looked it just added to the build.
