discussion Decal problems...

I need some help here - my decals for this kit are crinkling up and look like crap. I put a coat of Future under the decals and put Walthers solvaset over them as recommended. They are supposed to flatten when dry but they don't flatten.

The decals are from a 1972 kit and thus over 40 years old, but are not yellowed or otherwise visually damaged.

I'm going to guess, that as you have done everything you should do when applying them, that the age of them has meant the adhesive qualities of the decals have degraded. I'd suggest, if it's feasible, getting a new decal set for your B-29.
