Around 1960 a new material came on the market which when softened could be shaped by hand, when you think about the scope then it is a wonder it never caught on,although I never used it myself it was a sheet of something that when cellulose thinners was applied it used to soften up and could be formed into any shape,as soon as the thinners evaporated then it went rigid again,I am surprised that someone has not produced a similar product for use in todays modelling world, just think of the possibilities ? you could make cowlings or any awkward fittings from it,does anyone remember it,or what it was called ?
