Have fun Adrian,a good day out is pretty much guaranteed.
I was once driving from Bedford to Ipswich with Nigel Julian ("Lampie" who runs the aeroscale P-47 SIG,the 56th FG website etc) and we decided to break our journey with a short diversion and an hour at the museum........five hours later.........
I get to the air shows at Duxford as much as I can in the warmer months. I'm signed up as a "Friend of Duxford",which comes at a reasonable though not insubstantial cost. It guarantees you a seat,a decent view and a posh toilet on air show days amongst other things.
