discussion Electric motors 'HELP'

Can any one please "HELP". I got these 4 motors when I got my boat and know nothing about them. Can anyone please give me any idea what they might be? From left 2 right

1 - silver one-piece can with a plastic end cap housing brushes & solder tags 35mm diameter x 50mm length. Marked on plastic “Mabuchi b s”

2 - silver one-piece can with a plastic end cap housing brushes & solder tags 35mm diameter x 55mm length. Marked on plastic “Mabuchi t 4”

3 - silver one-piece can with a metal end cap painted black housing brushes & solder tags 35mm diameter x 50mm length. NO discernable marking on end cap but does have a black & gold sticker on the can which has been damaged but can just see what looks like the word Mabuchi.

4 – silver can with gold coloured metal end plates. 35mm diameter x 41mm body length, but is 52mm overall length to the end of the bell housing. On the spindle end the plate has been pinned on (riveted). The bell end has exposed brushes and springs which can be changed. The bearing housing has been stamped “kyosho Japan” other wise no discernable markings. I believe this motor to be tuneable.

Any help in finding out what these motors are would be greatly appreciated.

my initial thoughts would be from left to right....

1 is a standard mabuchi 380 type motor, this maybe a low drain 5 pole type eg a 385 motor....

2 is a standard mabuchi 540 type motor, this maybe a low drain 5 pole type 545 motor.....

3 is a 'hot' type 540 motor ( metal end bell, maybe ball raced armature)

4 is a tough one, my guess its a buggy motor from an RC car, it is tunable, as for armature windings and type its tough to exactly describe it, but it appears to be a 540 size can and size motor........

guy, your right about no.4 but as you said no external id as too which type of wind it is.

You have a collection of 540 type motors.

no's 1 to 3 look like standard 27 turn 540's, the longer length of some (all 540's have 35mm dia) being due to ball race bearings.

No 4 is an upmarket "Kyosho" 540 type and should be adjustable.

What do you intend to use them for?

Looking at the second Motor, I would say from the slightly longer case that is a possibly 550 as opposed to a 540...I have both and the 550 is slightly longer....they both same have the same diameters though as described above.
