discussion F86F Sabre. Info for right colors

Dear All

This is my first time i write a message in this site to ask help.

I just got the kit Italeri of F86F Sabre in 1/32. I'm waiting for after makert (i orderd cockpit, wheels bay and landing gears), but i want collect infos before starting the job.

My preference is an american Sabre during Corean War.

I need info about cockpit colors, internal panel colors and wheel bay colors.

From the web i got several pictures, but many of these concercern a restored F86. There are some in which the air brake bay is red, in others is NM and in others is green (i think zinc-crome).

Because i don't want make mistake, i should need the right colors used by USAF during the Corean War.

Does somebody of you can help me to get some info?

Hi Maurizio,

Have a look at this link, it mention cockpit colours. The green wheel bays might be 'Interior Green', as my Vietnam Super Sabre
