discussion FAA Martlet MK VI colours

So I am ready to lay some colour over pre shading of my MK VI Martlet and my scheme has specified sky type s for underside, now Vallejo model air I believe recommend their grey can't remember the number but I have been here before with the late spit and I believe it is too grey. Apparently Tamiyas sky is a decent match but I grabbed some Tamiya grey green as I thought this looked more realistic I might add some grey to it in a mix.


Also has anyone got a Vallejo or Tamiya match for Extra dark sea grey and and more importantly dark slate grey?! I got some Tamiya black green as I have heard that the dark slate grey has some green in it.


Your thoughts would be very welcome on this one

Straight out of the bottle? If you don't want to mix then the nearest you'll get is XF-77 for EDSG and XF-73 for DSG.


Personally I use much closer matches by other manufacturers.
