I was thinking back to some experiences from when I was at School and my work in Home Economics (Currently re-named Textiles Technology and Food Technology??)
Did any of the scale model enthusiasts here use their subjects at school as a way of getting in some modeling related stuff!
I made a cushion cover which was rather unique as it had a technical drawing of a FW190A stitched in black and white thread. The cushion cover was actually coloured to be as close to the dark grey of the geometric camouflage pattern as I could get! It was a lot of effort stitching those German Crosses!
I also made a catapult based on a Trebuchet and painted the words "KILL KILL KILL" on one of the uprights in Tippex!
I later had to sand off the lettering as it was deamed inappropriate by the head of technology, obviously some twisted logic as the very thought of getting a whole class of school kids (all boys too) to make catapults would hardly be a peacefull operation!
