I expect to finish a couple of busts this evening, and with a little time on my hands this afternoon I have started on the third of my WW1 VC recipient busts: a bust of Francis Grenfell VC who as a Captain with the 9th Lancers with the BEF he was awarded the Victoria Cross for his part in an action on 24th August 1914.

Here is the torso with the base coats of acrylic paints.
I will use the same mix of oil paints for the jacket in this bust as use on lawrence.

Hi Guys

Before embarking on my King tiger project I have set myself the challenge of finishing most of my on-going projects and the first was this bust which I started before Christmas, and getting distracted by Christmas.

Not as good as Peter's box top art work, but I am pleased with the results.

And so you should be Peter.
You have two talents, the sculpture and the painting

John..

Well done Peter. It looks pretty darn good to me. It must be a great feeling to build and paint your own work in its entirety.
