Got this kit today and immediately started it!
I've done a few little 1:35th scale figures now, so I think I'm getting to grips with it, just a little bit.....
I did ok (ish) with my first big 1:16th figure (British Airbourne Red Devil), considering it was a first attempt, but I would like to do a little bit better this time.
Especially regarding the face, and the finer detail, so we shall see how I get on with this one....
Obligatory pics of the original kit, sprue, box art, etc...

Looking great Peter.Theres a few camo colours you could use on his knibbs.I used to love tinkering with these figures.Ive still got a few half done. The Dragon range used to be cheap for figures.Das Werk took them on and at Telford show i saw them for 25 pounds each.I used to pay a tenner.
Seat pulled up.

Update for this one.....
Have now done the initial priming and painting, starting to look ok.

Have applied the base coat/colour for the uniform, but I've now gotta add camo, think I'll go with something similar to what is on the box art, a sort of patchy, mottled scheme.

Have also base coated the face and also done the eyes, a basic splodge of white, then shaped with skin tones to a more thin oval eye shape, then a smidge of blue, much happier with these eyes than on my first big figure. Not sure if I'm gonna add a tiny black dot, don't want to ruin them now!

Coming on nicely. If you do decide to add a pupil use a cocktail stick. Carefully sand the point of a cocktail stick to a tiny, flat circle . Paint a layer of paint onto a spare bit of card or plastic and touch the end of the stick into the paint. Then tap it into the eye. Practice to get the black circle the size you need and the right amount of paint. To get a decent black disc keep the stick at right angles to the figure.

Todays little update....
Have now started the mottled camo pattern on the jacket and sleeves, not done the trousers yet.
Started with a pale beige, then a pale green, then a pale brown, slowly building up the patches.
Think I'm going to leave the mittens plain, no camo.

Also finished painting his accessories, but not yet attached them all.
Rifle was a bit shiny, so added some aluminium, almost dry brushed, to bring out some of the guns details, raised edges, etc.

Todays update....
He now has all his gear attached, gas mask, entrenching tool, mag pouches, water bottle, etc.

I have now finished the camo pattern on his uniform, and did some minor highlighting of raised edges.

Just a few little bits to finally touch up, then a gloss coat and some minor weathering.
