discussion Getting to the end of a model. Missing pieces

Just finishing up on the 1/24 messerschmidt from airfix which i must say went together so much better than the harrier. But , of course there has to be a stumbling block. There is a piece missing. Sh*t bu@@er and all that...it was going so smoothly to.

It isnt a big piece but i dont think i could make a replacement so i have e-mailed them and now will probably have to wait til spring for a replacement. Damn.

Just thought i'd write this and see if anybody has any other missing piece nightmares they would like to share.

hi steve. its the right hand wing machine gun port cover. part 123 its just vanished.

Hi Si Airfix do have quite a fast turn around as far supplying missing parts. So you shouldn't have to wait too long.

Keep us posted Si. If for any reason you don't get it from Airfix I know I've got some bits and remains of a couple of those in my loft. I MIGHT be able to liberate a bit for you. Hopefully Airfix will come through for you.

I contacted Airfix for some spare parts new years eve and I got them yesterday only a day or so after they opened again!

Airfix are renowned for good customer service and turnaround on part replacement.

You should have your part from them quite rapidly.

Had to email Airfix regarding a couple of missing and broken parts for the servern lifeboat kit, got them within 3 days of emailing. Amazingly quick. Is the huge shoe box size box the norm for airfix replacement parts to arrive in these days?
