hey you aviation guys. check out the giant warplanes lancaster model and spot the delibrate mistakes. what a load of garbage not evev historically accurate!

regards rob

a link or a pic would be useful, but i tend not to be negative about other peoples work

It's die cast and it's not great, but as a 617 Sqn.'special' it's not as bad a some are automatically assuming.

picture on packaging is different to actual model. how can this be?

It is a magazine edition IRC, it was issue one wasn't it at £1.99. So I suppose for that price it ain't that bad.

I'm not an expert on the Lancaster but the nose looks funny!
Probably because the front turret has been deleted and masked over.

In the photo you can see the special bomb sight (SABS) used by 617 squadron but not the plexiglass dome common to all Lancasters simply because it's not a great piccy.

The mid upper turret has also been deleted and the bomb bay extensively modified to carry the special ordnance used by this unit late in the war.
