This is the second 1/72 Airfix new-tool P-51D I've built this year, it's one of my favourite kits. This one's finished as a civilian postwar F-51D that was pressed into military service in Haiti in 1963. It carried F-86 drop tanks, which were sourced from a damaged Special Hobby kit. Markings are from my own 1/72 decal sheet 'Postwar Ponies'.

That is just stunning Mike, beautiful work, the panel lines and colour just enhance the lines of this aircraft.

Si:)

great work Mike, do real like how the panel lines are so defined, just a great build and very lov painted ;)

That's a very nice looking mustang

Superb stuff as ever Mike! Your painting is an inspiration to novices like me.

Cheers

Patrick

That is one clean Pony Mike! I agree with all, the panel lines just pop on this beauty! The title threw me off a bit ,must admit;)
