I have decided to have a go at a 1/72 scale war bird, I bought the new Airfix FW 190 kit and then saw a Tamiya FW 190 with the squadron colors and markings that I originally wanted which will be a mini version of my 1/24 190 so I have just ordered that one as well. The thing is, I had no idea how small these things were to build and paint. I have made a couple of 1/72 jets in the past but this war bird is half the size of those. I must say I will now view the work that you guys have done on some of these 1/72 scale planes in a completely new light. I think its going to be an interesting if not difficult experience.

hi Steve , that is a very good way to get abit of insight into the making off the small scale like 1.72,

but if you have make bigger ones just do the steps of the plans and if you get stuck, im sure there

is plenty off people hear to help you out , and good luck

Welcome to 1/72 Steve :)
Ditto that :) You shouldn't have too much problem with either of those kits. The only things I'd mention is to try and be organised, as the smaller stuff is really easy to loose ( as me how I know.....), and I find when I'm doing detailed stuff, I try to do it in short bursts, to save my eyes.

Other than that, it should be a breeze for you.

Cheers, Neil
