Hello from an old newbie. Now in my 70's and returned to model building as an escape from watching / hearing soaps on the tv!

In my efforts to perfect / improve my limited skill I have built several 1/72 scale models of WW2 aircraft and have moved up to 1/32 scale models due to aged eyesight and fiddliness of the 1/72 scale parts. I bought a number of kits via veteranus auctions on Facebook including an Eduard 1/32 kit of a ME109. As the kit was described as a Profipak kit with multiple decal options and a set of masks for the cockpit it remained in my stock cupboard for some time until I felt capable of doing it properly. Having almost completed the kit I am rather disappointed at the end result due to the quality of the moulding. Has anybody had problems with Eduard kits? Or is it just my lack of skill that is the problem?

Welcome to the forum Pete. Join in and have fun.
I have found Eduard kits to be generally very good although I have not built one of their 1/32 kits. I think the ME109 came out about 15 years ago so may not be up to their modern standards.

Hi and welcome mate. Enjoy the forums, lots of good peeps and good info on here.
Maybe post up some pics of the build so we can see what the issue is?
Cheers

Welcome

Some people swear by eduard but every one ive tried has ended up in the bin, dont know why just always struggled with them

Welcome, and nice to know I model for the same reasons as you!! TV drives me nuts, very little of interest for me so the modelling den is my sanctuary.
Eduard can be good but I find them over engineered and fiddly (1/48th) try a Tamiya kit, you won’t be disappointed.
