discussion Help! 1/48 me 262 canopy needed!

Hi all I desperately need a 1/48 me 262 canopy that will fit my dragon a1a/u4 kit. I have searched Hannants and some other places and it seems me 262 Canopies are the only ones they don't stock! Just about sums my luck up on this build!

Do you have a picture of your canopy, how bad is it, it may be worth considering buffing it out with polishing cloths?

Wish I could help you out as I know how frustrating your situation is as I also needed a canopy for a revell 1:48 MiG-15bis "faggot" and never found one.Hope you have better luck than I did cheers John.


I'm still holding out for mine though even though it's been "awhile" There's always the crashed option:-(

I used a mask that came with the kit and it left a real industrial kind of glue that was impossible to get off I had to use a alcohol bath which also stripped the paint. After a lot of cleaning and rubbing a couple of little cracks appeared which I could have lived with and I nearly buffed it to a perfect shine with a rotary when right at the end I caught it and obliterated it.


I have just got in contact with dragon direct but not sure how much luck I'll have.
