discussion Help required on Remploy kit

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum. Wondering whether any of you would have some information on a kit that has come into my possesion. It is a Remploy kit of the Hastings Lugger. It is complete and unstarted. Box has a few dings but it is in very good order otherwise. I understand that these are now quite rare and no longer available. Any ideas on value please as my interest is for the Billings kits and I may sell this to purchase something else.

Hello Hooper20, I have just joined this forum and in case you still need information, when the Remploy kits first came out it must have been about 20 -25 years ago,there was 3 boat kits 'Hastings Lugger', 'Thames Barge' both at £50 and a Canal Narrow Boat at around £35. The kits were in my opinion were first class,{it's a pity they are now no longer available}. I built all three, the Thames Barge and the Canal Boat are in glass cases, the Hastings Lugger was completed to the point of only needing the masts,sails and rigging assembled when a voice whispered quietly in my ear that there was more that enough cases in the home as it was a home and not a museum. So it has been in a cardboard box in my loft for over 15 years but I will get it completed one day. If you still have your kit you might do well on e/bay. But why not build it, my humble opinion it's far better than Billings.
