discussion Help: what colour was the leg gator used by the Wehrmacht

I`m hoping someone can help me , I am currently painting a few Wehrmacht figures in 1:35th scale and i would like to know what colour the leg gator was that was used by the German army.

I am not sure what colour these were so any help would be great.

Here's a couple of pics of original issue for you. Repos tend to range from dark green to khaki but if you went from something in this range you'd be pretty close.

Go for a khaki colour then go over them with a dirty brown weathering wash that should work
