A question guys, if you use Johnsons klear in an airbrush, what do you use to clean the brush afterwards.

scott

I use a cheap airbrush and never empty it and just use it for Klear, each time I need to use it I just push a bit of wire down the nozzle to open it up again and it works fine.

This is the one I use

Any ammonia-based product will clean it Scott. Many people use Windolene, screenwash or even vinegar! Patrick

Have to say I don't get this vinegar bit. The first time I sprayed Klear, I remembered the Vinegar bit and filled up the cup with best ASDA Malt. result, clumps of white gunge and a blocked AB. Thankfully, I had enough Acrylic thinners to keep flushing it out until it cleared, I didn't give it chance to set. I always use, for Tamiya and Vellejo, Screen wash as a flusher but I always end with Acrylic thinners.

I usually use solvents to clean my AB do you recon this would do?

I think you can treat Klear exactly as you would treat Acrylic paint, it is after all Acrylic based. Depends what your solvents are. I would not use thinners for enamels for example.
