discussion Hitec 5245 servos & Futaba Receiver

Hi Guys

I have just purchased a new aircraft EF Extra 300 58" with Hitec 5245 servos. I need to purchase a PCM receiver that is compatible with my hitec servos and also my Futaba trany.

I am looking at the Futaba R146iP 6ch Rx FM35 PCM receiver. Will Hitec servos physically plug into this?. Will I have to adapt the plugs ?. If this combination is not compatible can someone recommend a reciever ?.

Personally I use a JR transmitter with JR PCM receivers but I use Futaba servos; I have to modify the plugs by removing the small plastic tongues but this is no problem, the wiring is the same.

A lot of the fliers at our club do use Hitech servos with a variety of receivers, including Futaba, and have no problems. I can’t answer your question with regards to the specific servos / receiver combination but I strongly suspect they are compatible.
