hi guys, got back from sunny (most of the time) Cornwall.

Had a lovely time with my family and girlfriend. It was great to get away from everything for a bit.

did quite a bit but im not going to bore you with all the details. Went to many lovely sea-side and harbour towns, more walking and STEPS! than you could ever imagine. Went out to sea to do some fishing, crabing for dinner (although the girlfriend made me put them back) body boarding, swimming. Padstow had just got a new Tamar Class lifeboat: "The Spirit Of Padstow" and where having an open day so went to that. Got plenty of pics of that!

RAF St.Mawgen was about 3miles away but could not get very close to the it but did get a few pics of a AWAC and also a few of a coastguard sea-king. Did try and get pics of tornados that flew over nearly every other day but never had the camera out in time!

well if anyone wants to ask any questions feel free. Sorry about the quality of the pics of the planes i only have 4x optical zoom! will put some ramdom sea-side and harbour pics as well!

thanks for the welcome barry and Richard and the comments on the pictures.

No Barry i did not visit the restuarant (we couldnt find it!!!) although my parents had fish and chips from his chippy.he has 6 different things in Padstow; Restaurant, fish n chip shop, cafe, shop, pasty place and something else. (apparently they call it Padstein)

im guessing i have missed out on quite a lot.

one excellant thing that has come out of this holiday is i have quit smoking! well....hopefully!!

Richard, there is no hopefully about it, if you have made the step, stay with it. You've done the hard bit, well done but don't let it go now.

Promise me if you feel like having a cigarette you will post a message instead and we will all help you to stay off them?

Howdy Richard,

Bout' Time you got back! The photos look fine to me, looks like you had fun. You said you had trouble catching the tornadoes, I had the same trouble with F 15 eagles at Tyndell AFB in florida.

Great pics Richard, welcome back and well done on starting down the long road to stopping smoking, I stopped several years a go and even now still crave them but it soon passes, just don't give in to the cravings
